Using the included USB cable, the AmpKit LiNK HD becomes a high-quality guitar interface for Mac and PC. This means that guitar players no longer need to carry a separate interface for their mobile iOS and computer. The AmpKit LiNK HD features a high quality construction Peavey is known for, with sturdy jacks and cable connectors and a rubberized non-slip coating that’s easy to handle. On-the-go jamming is easier than ever with add-on accessories such as a belt and strap clip, which makes the device mountable. Peavey Ampkit LiNK HD AmpKit LiNK HD is a pure digital guitar interface that connects via USB on the Mac, and also supports iOS devices via the 30-pin or Lightning port. Players even have control of the guitar input level and headphone output level right at their fingertips using the control knobs located directly on the interface, so there’s no need to launch another app.ĪmpKit LiNK HD is the perfect companion for the AmpKit app. AMPKIT LINK HD PEAVEY PCįeatures: iOS, Mac and PC compatible: Includes cables for both. Works with all newer iOS devices including iPad, iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), iPad mini. AmpKit’s in-app Gear Store offers the largest gear selection of any amps and effects app, including 19 amps with 35 separate amp channels, 22 effects pedals, 20 cabinets, 8 mics and more gear on the way. The AmpKit LiNK audio interface raises the audio fidelity bar for the iPhone platform. It's amazing though how such a small piece of kit can bring so much additional function. The Peavey amps in AmpKit include the Peavey 3120, Peavey 6505 Plus, Peavey 6534 Plus, the Peavey Classic 30 and Peavey ValveKing. I've only managed to try this out a on few occasions since buying it but there seem to be plenty of options / adjustments in the iApp - haven't figured out how to record and then overlay / play against recordings yet - but it's early days. That's the reason I don't score this product a 5* because I was under the impression it was i5 compatible - but using on iPad is probably a better option in the end when trying to select stuff. I am using this with iPad rather than my iPhone 5 (which I found was unable to be used because the cable supplied isn't the mini cable for i5 - it's the larger connector for i3, ipad, etc). Now I have ability to pick from a set of Amp, speakers and BEST OF ALL, a stack of virtual pedals which I purchased for <£10 and gives me equivalent of £100's of effects pedals at my disposal. Had been consdiering purchase of a Line6 amp for ages but then spotted this on YouTube and it's such a cool idea. Sounds daft but the rubbery surface makes a difference in helping it to stay put and the input/output controls are very handy along wit the all important charging port.Īll in all I'd highly recommend it and would buy another right away if this one stopped working. Particularly with the deep editing functions of Bias I'd say a connector of this quality is essential in order to hear the difference of these editing parameters.įinally it's much more rugged than previous versions. Whilst apps like Bias and Ampkit will never deliver like a real Fender Twin using this higher quality connector a lot of the harmoics previously lost came through giving a much more realistic and usable sound. I've always felt that clean sounds are hardest to emulate, particularly with understandably cheaper guitar apps rather than standalone units and computer based programs. At first I couldn't believe it but switching back and forward between my old connector and this showed that the difference was astounding. Everything is much more clearer and responsive. Switching to this was the equivalent of getting glasses for the first time. Previoisly I had owned a normal Ampkit link and had also used the connection on my iLoud speaker to connect my guitar.
